After 45 years of proudly serving theatres across the country and strengthening connections among corporate and individual donors, regional theatres and their communities, Theatre Forward is winding down its operations. The plan to dissolve the organization is made with the intention of accelerating the distribution of all of Theatre Forward’s assets to its founding member theatres in these difficult times. Theatre Forward hopes its corporate funders and individual donors recognize the financial challenges facing the field and will continue to support the theatres directly.
Theatre Forward, formerly named National Corporate Theatre Fund, was founded in 1977 by a group of the nation’s leading regional theatres for the purpose of forging a collective New York City presence to work with major corporate headquarters to provide awareness and operating support for these theatres across the country. Over the course of its history Theatre Forward has facilitated countless productions, performances, and opportunities for students to experience live theatre through education programs that instill a lifelong love of theatre and a more empathetic and collaborative view of the world.
On behalf of Theatre Forward’s member theatres, Board of Directors and staff, thank you to all who fund, attend and believe in the importance of theatre.
As continued financial support remains a priority for all of our member theatres, please consider making a gift directly to any of them using the contact information and links provided below.
